I let the boys put most of the Christmas tree decorations on ‘their’ tree so once we set the big one up this weekend it was really bare. I took a few hours and made this felt garland for it.

It reminds me of an argyle pattern. Look, our tree is all preppy:

It couldn’t have been simpler and I felt pretty zen while cutting out all those diamond shapes.

 Mine were about 4 inches across and 2 inches deep.

Then I just stitched them together end to end on my machine.  It fits our style right now:  un-fussy, un-breakable, and colorful.
